these are their subscribers. some pay for the newsletter in addition to opting in to the email list. The point is that there is a place for legitimate opt in email as advertising for legal and legimate products on the internet. do you really think that the intenet can function based on monthly fees alone. all the bandwidth being bought by companies that ADVERTISE by email and websites is what pays for the net. learn the difference between legal opt in and spam. (part 2)

email as advertising has become controversial as we all know. However a couple of points need to be clarified. 1. the big companies like aol, microsoft, yahoo and myspace are also sending out millions of emails everyday. you cant sign up to their sites without opting in to receive email. later you can opt out. 2, there is a place for legitimate opt in email. there are hundreds of newletters who email to 10,000 to 100,000 users on their opt in list with each issue. Scott Richter has started a new fraudulent business – Media Breakaway. From Spam, he has turned to Scams. He makes fraudulent charges on Cellphone bills for subscriptions you never signed up for.

Opt-in? If you have a “My Space” account then you are familiar with the fake accounts made with porn or near porn pictures and you and everyone else online at the time would get a friend request. When you click anywhere on the page embedded HTML would take you to an affiliate porn link. THAT was Richter. It was also said that he was behind much of the phishing there in order to gain access to accounts to spread affiliate links.

Yeah I’ve lost count of the opt-in lists that I am on and never signed up for. Why don’t you ask Snotty Scotty or David Linhardt how that opt-in crap flies.
